Hiunchuli Peak Climbing in Nepal information

Hiunchuli Peak Climbing - Hiunchuli Expedition

Hiunchuli peak is situated in the Annapurna range, Mount Hiunchuli (6441m) is claimed as the fourth highest peak among the ' Trekking Peaks' in Nepal. It is one of the least difficult peaks for climbers in the Annapurna range but is vulnerable to rock falls. The peak has received little attention from mountaineers and is rarely climbed due to the lack of advertisement. It is best suited for the new climbers as it is technically easy to ascend. The peak was first climbed by the American Peace Corps Expedition, via the southeast face in October 1971. It forms a massive south-facing wall together with Annapurna South. Its eastern face overlooks the Modi Khola and guards the entrance to the Annapurna Sanctuary. The region is primarily dominated by the Gurung community.
