Muktinath Pilgrimage Tours in Nepal
This Tour is easier one in Annapurna region which can be commenced throughout the year as it falls under rain shadow area. Muktinath is situated in north-center of Nepal in the elevation of 3800 m. It is a pilgrimage center for both Buddhist and Hindu. Its main shrine is a pagoda-shaped temple dedicated to lord Vishnu. Behind the temple there are 108 waterspouts cast in the shape of cow headed pour holy water. At Muktinath Temple pilgrimage takes bath with the ice-cold holy water and visiting the Jwala Devi temple nearby contains a spring and eternal holy flame fed by natural gas spewing out of the ground. An auspicious combination of earth, fire, & water that is responsible for the religious importance of Muktinath. To reach Muktinath, one can fly over Jomsom rather than having lengthy trek through usual trekking route. To mention about some attractions of this trek are that there are spectacular mountain views, deepest gorge in the world and Jomsom is known as arid valley stunning you to praise it. On the other hand, Muktinath is Hindu's (Nepal’s & India) most famous pilgrimage site with one hundred and eight stone taps and the marvelous temples.
Muktinath pilgrimage tour itinerary
Day 01
Arrival at Kathmandu:
Arrival in Kathmandu International Airport. Welcome by our representatives and transfer to Hotel in Kathmandu / Planet Bhaktapur with B/B plan.
Day 02
Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara (914m.), 6 hrs
You depart early morning at 7 o’clock for the six hours drive by tourist bus to Pokhara (915m,), 210 kilometers from the west of Kathmandu. You can also fly from Kathmandu to Pokhara which takes about 25 minutes and transfer to hotel on fewa lake side.
Day 03
Fly from Pokhara to Jomsom (2713 m.) and Kagbeni 2800m 4 hrs
Grateful 20 minutes flight and overlooking of scenery of Himalayan ranges with Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, Machhhapuchre, Nilgiri over the World’s deepest gorge in between Annapurna I (8091m) and Dhaulagiri (8167m) mountains commence trek to Kagbeni (2,800m, 3 hr.) and stay overnight at lodge.
Day 04
Tour from Kagbeni to Muktinath (3800m) 5 hrs
The trail steeply ascends for couple of hundred meters. While gradually walking you can enjoy beautiful deserted landscape, Caves, old Tibetan Style Villages, apple Garden, Yaks Herds, sheep Herds and so on. You can look at Thorong La valley straight up to the Muktinath.
Day 05
Trek from Muktinath to Marpha (2630m): 6hrs
Trek to Marpha via Jomsom; one of the very old Tibetan villages, where you will observe old monastery and apple garden and also distillery. The culture and tradition of local people is different from others. You now begin the trek descent down the dramatic Kali Gandaki Gorge, initially through arid country in the same geographical and climatic zone as Tibet.
Day 06
Marpha to Jomsom, 3 hrs
In the morning we will observe the Marpha village with guide if we have time we will go until down to Tukuche another Thakali village and trek back to Jomsom and over night in hotel.
Day 07
Fly from Jomsom to Pokhara
The flights are available during the morning time anmd takes about 20 minutes. The strong breeze blows during the afternoon. During the flights in the morning, the sky looks very clear which makes you able to enjoy the splendid views of different mountain peaks. After landed the Pokhara we will go sightseeing in Pokhara Valley in diffrents spot.
Day 08
Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu by tourist bus.
You can drive or fly back to Kathmandu which takes about 25 minutes. And transfer to hotel.
Day 09
Final departure
Drop you in Kathmandu International Airport onward your final destination and our trip ends. Wish you your wonderful journey!!!
