Kathmandu Lhasa Tibet Overland Tour - Early morning start drive from Kathmandu to Kodari (Nepali-Tibet border) through the beautiful Nepalese countryside with spectacular Himalayan View including Mt. Langatang (7.246m), Mt. Dorje Lakahpa (6.975) and Mt. Gauri Shanker (7.145). Drive over the Himalayas by way of the incredible Arniko Highway that connects Kathmandu with Lhasa. Enjoy fabulous mountain scenery enroute, visit mystical Buddhist monasteries of Tashilungpo at Shigatse, the Kumbum Stupa at Gyantse, and drive past the beautiful Turquoise lake. In Lhasa visit the famous Potala and Norbulinkha palaces, the great Drepung Monastery and walk through the bustling Barkor Bazaar before flying back to Kathmandu (or onward to China). Day 01
Arrival at Kathmandu (1348m)
Upon your arrival at the Tribhuvan intl. airport our representative welcomes you and assists to transfer in your hotel in Kathmandu/Bhaktapur. After time to get refreshed, and briefing about your trip and overnight at Hotel.Day 02
Drive to Zhanmu
Early morning drive to Kodari. After doing immigration and custom formalities drive uphill to Zhangmu Immigration Post. O/nt at Hotel ZhangmuDay 03
Zhangmu - Xegar (4350m)- 244 Kms.
Drive to Xegar crossing Nyalamu Pass (3800m) & LALUNG LA PASS (5050m). This drive offers fantastic view of the high mountains including Everest (8848m). O/nt at Hotel Xegar.Day 04
Xegar - Xigatse (3900m) - 244 Kms.
Drive (Approx 8 hrs) to Xigatse. Xigatse has the famous Tashilunpo Monastery and the seat of Panchen lama. O/nt at Hotel Xigatse.Day 05
Xigatse - Gyantse (3900m)-90 Kms.
In the morning visit Tashilunpo Monastery and the free market of Xigatse. In the afternoon drive to Gyantse and visit Phalkor Monastery and Khumbum Stupa. O/nt. at Hotel Gyantse.Day 06
Gyantse - Lhasa (3650m)- 259 Kms.
The drive to Lhasa takes 08 hours crossing two passes - THE KARO LA (5010 M.) AND KAMBA LA (4794m.) via Yamdrok Tso lake. O/nt in Lhasa.Day 07
