Ganja la pass trek grades
Ganja la pass trek is suitable for adventure walker. It does require you some trekking experience however basic Mountaineering knowledge will be nice. If you are healthy and can walk roughly 6 hours daily, you can do this trekking. However, daily jugging or walking exercise is very useful before you depart. Our program always include rest days and build up gradually, in order to acclimatize to the altitude. On trek, you can go at your own pace, with plenty of stops for resting.

Day 01 : Meet at Kathmandu Airport and transfer to hotel (1350 m)Upon your arrival at the Tribhuvan international airport our representative welcomes you and assists to transfer in your hotel in Kathmandu within BB Plan. After time to get refreshed, and briefing about your Ganja la pass trek trip and overnight at Hotel.
Day 02 : Sightseeing of World Heritage sites (BB)Full day sightseeing in Kathmandu valley with Private Tourist Guide. Today our sightseeing covers the Hindu temple complex at Pashupatinath (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) the biggest Buddhist Stupa at Boudhanath. Also, visit Monkey Temple the Swyambhunath (2500 years old temple) and visit Patan city of fine arts. Transfer to the hotel.
Day 03 : Drive to Syabrubesi (1462m/4,797 feet), 8 hoursThis morning we’ll drive on a northern highway that twists and climbs over mountain ridges to the Trishuli valley for lunch and on to Syabru village for the overnight. The amazing bus drive takes 8-9 hours through picturesque landscapes, mountain scenery and local villages.
Day 04 : Syabru Bensi to Lama Hotel (2470m/8,100 feet) , 6 hoursAfter breakfast we start to walk own our pace and the trail ascends for around two hours through the forest followed by a climb of about an hour to reach Bamboo village (1,850m/6,068ft) where we’ll stop for lunch. This forested path with popular trails with the following the upstream and can be seen birds life around the bushes. Beehives hanging on a cliff are another attraction for the visitors. From here we’ll again steeply climb through the bamboo forest to reach the Lama Hotel where we’ll rest and overnight at a local teahouse. Overnight at Lama Guest House.
Day 05 : Lama Hotel to Langtang village (3430m/11,250 feet) , 5 hoursFrom Lama Hotel the trail climbs through a forest of hemlock, oaks, maples, and rhododendron observing glimpses of Langtang Lirung, reaches to Gumanchok (2800m) and then climbs to Ghora Tabela (2970m) after which it descends to Thangshyap (3140m). The trail further climbs to Langtang, which is the headquarter for Langtang National Park. Overnight in Langtang Valley.
Day 06 : Langtang village to Kyanjin Gompa (3870m/12,694 feet) , 4 hoursFrom Langtang Valley the trail climbs gradually to Sindum and to Yamphu (3640m/11,940 feet). Crossing the Laja Khola then climbs a moraine to a viewpoint where you can see Kyanjin Gompa and the dramatic icefall flowing from Langtang Lirung and Kinshung. Then the trail descends to Kyanjin Gompa. Overnight at Kyanjin Gompa.
Day 07 : Rest day at Kyanjing Gompa.Explore around the glacier and Himalayan Yak pasture. We climb to Tserko Ridge hills, from here you can see the stunning mountain views like as Langtang Lirung, Ganjala Chuli, Yala peak Dorje Lakpa and many more…Return back to the Hotel to stay.
Day 08 : Kyanjin Gompa to Ngegang (4100m/13,448 feet) , 6 hoursCrossing the Langtang Khola below Kyanjin Gompa the trail makes a steep climb through a forest of rhododendron and juniper. Then the trail reaches the yak pasture of Ngegang. On any day here you can see Yaks peacefully grazing. Overnight at Ngegang.
Day 09 : Ngegang trekking to Ganjala Pass (5200m/17,056 feet) to Keldang, 8 hoursTo ascent to the pass is quite difficult and challenging, following streams at first, and continuing over snow and rocks, we scrambled the last 100m on a steep and snowy slope. The pass provides a majestic panoramic view of the Langtang Lirung and the snowy summits of the Tibetan border.
Day 10 : Keldang to Dukpu (4080m/13,383 feet), 6 hoursThe trail descends a long ridge, making many ups and downs and before heading down to the Valley. Then following the ridgeline through small settlements, you will reach Dukpu. Overnight at Dukpu.
Day 11 : Dukpu to Tarke Gyang (2590m/8,495 feet) , 7 hoursFrom, Dukpu the trail descends, and then make a climb to a pass. The pass offers a stunning view of the Himalaya. The trails descend through pine and rhododendron forest, then drops steeply to Gekye Gompa. Finally, the trail continues its steep descent to the large Sherpa village of Tarke Gyang. Overnight at Tarke Gyang.
Day 12 : Acclimatization dayAfter having breakfast you will visit the village of Tarkegyang. If you want to observe the peak of 3771m which is north of the village, you will have to climb half a day to reach the destination. Here you can see panoramic views of the mountains to the north, its well worth the optional half-day climb. Back to the Tarkegyang Camp.
Day 13 : Tarkegyang to Sermathang (2610m/8,561 feet) , 5 hoursThe trail leaves Tarke Gyang and heads off to meet the pretty Sherpa village, Gangyul (2520m). The trail drops a little bit and climbs through deep forests, crossing a number of streams, before reaching Chumik. Making a gentle climb you come to the large village of Shermathang. Overnight at Shermathang
Day 14 : Sermathang to Malemchipul Bazaar (880m/2,887 feet), 5 hoursMaking a drop, the trail reaches in the settlements of Nigale and Gyalsha and further to Raithani Gyang (2290m/7,511 ft). Descending through the chir pine forest the trek gets to the large fascinating village of Dubha Chaur and finally descending you will reach Melamchi Pul Bazaar. Overnight at Melamchi Pul Bazaar.
Day 15 : Malemchipul Bazaar to Kathmandu.Drive back to Kathmandu by bus via Araniko highway. Arrive Kathmandu and transfer to Hotel on BB basis.
Day 16 : Final departure dayAfter breakfast, End of our services with departure transfer to the Kathmandu airport to board flight for your onward destination.

Answer: All the guest houses/lodges in Langtang trekking, they have attached restaurant and they cook a delicious range of mostly vegetarian such as Pasta, tuna bakes, noodles, potatoes, eggs, dhal bhat, bread, soups, fresh vegetables (variety depends on the season) The dinner and breakfast are provided in the same lodge you spend the night every day and Lunch will be provided on the way to the next place where you are going.
Question: How do I get drinking water on Ganja la pass Trekking?
Answer: During the Ganja la pass trek route most of the places hotel and shops where you can able to buy mineral water and you can buy it for drinking but however we advise against buying mineral water in plastic bottles, as currently there are no provisions for disposing of these. Instead, we provide you chlorine tablets to purify the normal water as the normal water is available in campsite/along the way.
Question: Can I charge my digital camera or other batteries on my trip?
Answer: During the lodge trekking there will be more chances to charge the battery. We recommend you bring an extra pair for in case. Remember to bring your own adapters!
Question: Is there any communication facilities on Ganja la pass trekking?
Answer: In this trekking route you can get telephone services as well as internet services as well.
Question: Can I use credit cards in Trekking?
Answer: No! You need to have cash Nepali rupees because credit cards work only in the bigger city areas.
Question: When should I book my trip and what is the payments terms?
Answer: Because our trips book up months in advance, we recommend booking early to avoid any kind of misunderstanding. We will, of course, make every effort to accommodate last minute bookings. And regarding the deposit, we prefer 20% advance deposit of the total price of the trip in order to confirm your reservation before you arrive in Nepal. And the rest of the payment can be made after your arrival in Nepal.
Question: Who will carry my luggage on Ganja la pass trek?
Answer: We provide porters to transfer your luggage. As we are a responsible trekking tour operator agency, each of our porters carries a maximum of 25 kilos of your backpack which means 2 guests (12.5 kg luggage of each guest): 1 porter basis. However, Ganja la pass trek is a challenging trek so each of our porters can carry a maximum of 22 kg of your belongings. If you wish to have a private porter, you might also get it on paying an extra cost.
Question: How much distance do I walk each day?
Answer: When walking in the mountains, the distance you cover each day can vary greatly due to a gradient, terrain, and altitude. As such it is very hard to give specific distances on each day, however, you have to be prepared to walk roughly about 5 hours each day.
Question: Do I need walking polls ?
Answer: Walking pools are recommended but not compulsory.
Question: How much additional money do I need per day?
Answer: You can allocate US$ 08 – 10 for lunch/dinner in Kathmandu and it depends on your spending habits. US$ 7 to 10 US$ each day will be enough to buy bottles of water, chocolates, tea coffee, and some drinks while you are on trek.
