Day 01 Drive from Kathmandu to Machha Khola (870m), 8 to 9 hoursYour journey begins with a scenic drive from Kathmandu, passing through lush hills, rivers, and terraced farmland. After crossing Arughat and Soti Khola, you’ll reach Machha Khola, a peaceful village by the Budhi Gandaki River.
Day 02Trek from Machha Khola to Jagat (1,340m), 6 to 7 hours.Follow a narrow gorge, crossing suspension bridges and winding past small settlements and hot springs. Jagat marks the official entry into the restricted Manaslu region and is known for its stone-paved village streets.
Day 03From Jagat to Deng (1,860m), 6 to 7 hoursContinue this trek through dense forest and small villages like Salleri and Philim, where you’ll encounter Tibetan influenced culture and architecture. The trail becomes more dramatic as you approach Deng, surrounded by rocky cliffs and waterfalls.
Day 04 Deng to Namrung trekking (2,630m), 6 hoursToday’s route includes a mix of forested paths and open ridges offering views of Shringi Himal. Namrung is a culturally rich village with ancient mani walls, prayer flags, and traditional Tibetan stone houses.
Day 05 Namrung to Lho Gaon (3,180m), 4 to 5 hours.Ascends gradually through beautiful pine and rhododendron forests with views of Ganesh Himal and Manaslu appearing closer. Lho is a picturesque Tibetan village with an impressive monastery overlooking the valley.
Day 06Lho to Samagaon trek (3,530m), 5 hoursYou pass through scenic highland meadows and reach Shyala village, surrounded by panoramic mountain vistas. Samagaon, nestled beneath Manaslu, is one of the most culturally vibrant villages on the trail.
Day 07Acclimatization Day in SamagaonTake a well deserved rest day to acclimatize, with options to hike to Manaslu Base Camp (4,800m) or Pungyen Gompa, providing stunning glacier views. Explore the village’s monasteries and immerse yourself in local Sherpa and Tibetan culture.
Day 08Samagaon to Samdo trekking (3,860m), 3 to 4 hoursA short but stunning trek leads you through yak pastures and high alpine terrain with views of the surrounding peaks. Samdo is the last permanent settlement before the Larkya Pass and sits near the Tibetan border.
Day 09Samdo to Dharamsala trekking (4,460m), 4 hoursToday’s hike is relatively short but at high altitude, giving your body more time to adjust before the pass. Dharamsala (also known as Larkya Phedi) is a simple, seasonal base camp lodge set in a dramatic alpine setting.
Day 10Cross Larkya La Pass (5,160m), Trek to Bimthang (3,720m) – 8 to 9 hoursThis is the most challenging and rewarding day, as you cross the dramatic Larkya La Pass with breathtaking views of Himlung, Kang Guru, and Annapurna II. After reaching the top, you descend steeply into the tranquil alpine valley of Bimthang.
Day 11 Bimthang to Dharapani (1,960m) – 7 hours.Descend through beautiful rhododendron and pine forests, passing pasture lands and crossing glacial rivers. You eventually rejoin the Annapurna Circuit trail at Dharapani, a bustling village with more trekkers and better facilities.
Day 12 Dharapani to Kathmandu. 8 to 9 hoursEnjoy a scenic drive via Besisahar through lush countryside, river valleys, and hillside farms. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, you’ll be transferred to your hotel to relax and reflect on your unforgettable Himalayan journey.
