01 DayLanding in Kathmandu Airport. Transfer to Hotel.Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) in Kathmandu, our airport representative—or the local agency owner, Ammar Raj Guni—will greet you warmly and transfer you to your hotel in Thamel, the vibrant tourist hub of Kathmandu. After a welcome drink and check-in, we’ll have a short briefing about your upcoming Annapurna Base Camp trek. If you’re up for a walk, feel free to explore the local area, bustling with shops, cafés, and cultural sights.
02 DayKathmandu to Pokhara drive with a Tourist Bus. Transfer to Phewa Lakeside hotel, 8 hoursThe scenic drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara by tourist bus is a journey through Nepal’s heartland, offering stunning views of rivers, terraced fields, and rolling hills. As the bus follows the Trishuli and Marsyangdi Rivers, you’ll pass through charming rural towns and lush countryside an ideal way to witness authentic Nepal beyond the mountains.
After approximately 8 hours of comfortable travel, you’ll arrive in Pokhara, where a short transfer takes you to your hotel near Phewa Lakeside, a peaceful area perfect for relaxation and lakeside strolls. This overland journey sets the tone for your Himalayan adventure ahead.
After arriving in Pokhara’s Phewa Lakeside, you’ll have the perfect opportunity to unwind and soak in the tranquil beauty of this lakeside paradise. Spend your time strolling along the vibrant lakeshore, where colorful boats, cafés, and local craft shops create a relaxed and inviting atmosphere.
You can enjoy a peaceful boat ride on Phewa Lake, visit the serene Tal Barahi Temple situated on an island, or simply sip a fresh coffee or cold drink with a stunning backdrop of the Annapurna and Machhapuchhre mountains. It’s the ideal way to ease into the rhythm of Pokhara before your trekking adventure begins.
Alternatively, you can choose a domestic flight from Kathmandu to Pokhara (25 minutes that takes approximately US$ 105 extra) for a more comfortable start. .
03 DayDrive to Birethani (1,000m). Trek to Ulleri Village (2,070m/6,791 feet), 6 hoursAfter breakfast in Pokhara, your journey begins with a scenic drive to Birethanti (1,000m) which is a charming riverside village where the Annapurna Base Camp trek officially starts. As the road winds through lush hills and terraced farmland, you’ll catch glimpses of daily village life and distant Himalayan peaks.
Upon arrival in Birethanti, you’ll begin your gradual ascent toward Ulleri Village (2,070m). You’ll follows the banks of the Modi Khola, passing through subtropical forests, waterfalls, and quaint hamlets. Eventually, the trail climbs steeply via a 2,500 long series of stone steps which is an iconic section of the route known for both its challenge and reward.
With each step, panoramic views begin to open, and after around 6 hours of walking, you’ll reach Ulleri, a traditional Magar village perched on a scenic ridge with sweeping views of the surrounding valleys and hills.
04 DayUlleri to Upper Ghorepani Trek (2,874m/9,430 feet), 4 hourswe begin a scenic trek to Ghorepani, ascending over 1,000 stone steps through enchanting rhododendron forests and picturesque villages. You’ll have mesmerizing vista of Annapurna South, Fishtail (Machhapuchhre), and terraced farmlands. As we climb, the landscape changes from subtropical to alpine, offering a variety of flora and fauna. Overnight at a teahouse in Upper Ghorepani, with stunning sunset views over the Himalayas.
05 DayHike to Poon Hill (3,210m/10,532 Feet), 3 hours. Trek to Tadapani (2,630m/8,629 Feet), 5 hoursWake up early for a sunrise hike to Poon Hill, one of Nepal’s most famous viewpoints. Here, you’ll witness a golden panorama of over 32 Himalayan peaks, including the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges, Machhapuchhre, and Nilgiri glowing in the morning light—perfect for photography.
After soaking in the views, return to the lodge for breakfast and begin your trek to Tadapani, passing through Deurali and Bandthanti. The trail features a mix of forest paths and open ridges, offering breathtaking views throughout. If time allows, we can descend further to Chuile, home to peaceful and well-equipped lodges. Overnight in Tadapani or Chuile, depending on your pace and preference.
06 Day Tadapani to Sinuwa (2,340 m/7677 Feet), via Chomrong. 6 hoursAfter a peaceful night in Tadapani, we continue our journey through the lush forested trail, descending gradually toward Ghandruk and then further down to Kimrong Khola, a serene riverside spot nestled between the hills. From here, the path climbs steadily to Chomrong (2,165m), a charming Gurung village perched on a ridge with dramatic views of Annapurna South and Machhapuchhre (Fishtail).
After a delicious lunch break in Chomrong, we descend a long stone staircase to Chomrong Khola, cross a suspension bridge, and then begin a final uphill climb through terraced fields and forests to reach Sinuwa.
Along the way, the changing scenery especially from deep valleys to high ridges that keeps your trek rewarding. Sinuwa is a quiet and scenic stop, offering panoramic views and a peaceful atmosphere for the night.
07 DaySinuwa to Deurali Lodges (3,174m/10,413 feet), 6 hoursToday’s trek is slightly longer and may vary depending on your previous night’s stay. You’ll follow a serene trail of stone steps weaving through bamboo, oak, and rhododendron forests, a hallmark of the Annapurna Sanctuary trek.
Along the way, enjoy breathtaking views of Machhapuchhre (Fishtail) and Annapurna South, as you pass the quiet village of Khuldigar, descend to the Bamboo lodges, and ascend gradually to the Himalaya Hotel at 2,890 meters. From there, a final steady climb brings you to Deurali, a peaceful stop nestled in the lap of the Himalayas.
08 DayDeurali to Annapurna BASE Camp trek (4,130m/13,550 Feet), 5 hoursToday is the most iconic day of the Annapurna Base Camp trekking adventure. You’ll climbs steadily alongside glacial streams, leading you to Machhapuchhre Base Camp, where you’ll enjoy stunning panoramic views of towering Himalayan peaks.
Continuing onward to Annapurna Base Camp (ABC), you’ll have a full circle of breathtaking amphitheater of giants mountains. It includes the Annapurna I (8,091m), Hiunchuli, Gangapurna, and Fishtail. This inspiring setting is one of the most scenic and spiritually moving experiences in the Himalayas and a night at ABC is truly unforgettable.
09 DayABC sightseeing. Retrace to Bamboo Guest Houses (2,350m/7,700 feet), 7 hoursAfter soaking in the sunrise views over the Annapurna range, it’s time to begin your descent from ABC. Retracing your steps through the glacier and carved Modi Khola valley, the trail takes you back past Deurali and the Himalaya Hotel, through dense forest and peaceful landscapes.
You’ll arrive at Bamboo, a serene resting spot nestled in the forest, ideal for a quiet evening after a rewarding day’s walk. Although it’s a descent, the 14 km distance still requires careful footing, especially in damp or shaded areas.
10 DayBamboo to Jhinu hot spring (1,750m/5,723 feet), 6 hoursToday’s trail leads you downhill through a lush blend of rhododendron, bamboo, and oak forests, eventually crossing the Kimrong Khola and climbing gently toward Jhinu Danda. This peaceful hillside village is famous for its natural hot springs, located just a short walk downhill along the riverbanks.
Here, you can relax and soak your tired muscles in the warm, mineral rich waters a relaxing reward after days of trekking in the Himalayas. The hot springs are surrounded by forested cliffs, creating a perfect, natural spa like atmosphere.
11 DayJhinu to Pritam Deurali Lodge (2,100m/6,890 feet), 7 hoursLeaving behind the soothing hot springs of Jhinu Danda, the trail ascends gradually through serene forests filled with rhododendron, bamboo, and oak trees. As you climb higher, the landscape begins to shift—lush valleys give way to ridgelines offering sweeping views of the Annapurna range in the distance.
After crossing several small settlements and terraced farmlands, you’ll reach Chomrong Ridge, and then continue along a quiet forest trail that eventually leads to Pritam Deurali Lodge, perched at 2,100 meters. This peaceful and less-traveled stop offers a tranquil setting with spectacular views and fresh mountain air—making it a perfect place to rest and recharge for the journey ahead.
12 DayPritam Deurali to Dhampus Phedi (1,130m/3,707 feet), 4 hoursAfter a refreshing night in the peaceful surroundings of Pritam Deurali, the trail descends gently through rhododendron groves, stone steps, and scattered hillside villages. As you make your way down toward Dhampus Phedi, the views of Machhapuchhre (Fishtail) and the lush valleys below continue to accompany you’ll have a final glimpse of the Himalayas before concluding your trek.
Upon reaching Dhampus Phedi, a private taxi will be waiting to transfer you back to your hotel near Phewa Lakeside in Pokhara. This scenic drive takes less than an hour and gives you time to relax and reflect on your incredible journey through the Annapurna region. Once in Pokhara, enjoy the rest of your day unwinding by the lake or exploring the vibrant town at your own pace.
13 Day With a Tourist Bus return to Kathmandu. Trip FinishIn the early morning, we depart Pokhara for a return trip to Kathmandu, either by comfortable tourist bus (approx. 8 hours) or domestic flight (25 minutes, optional upgrade). The drive follows the scenic Marsyangdi and Trishuli Rivers, passing through green hills and picturesque villages. As we reach Kathmandu, where our trek began, your Himalayan adventure comes full circle.
