Annapurna Trek for Beginners Itinerary

Day 01 Landing in Kathmandu airport (1,350m). Transfer to hotel in Thamel.

Upon your arrival at Kathmandu Airport (1,350m), one of our friendly representatives will be there to greet you with a warm welcome. You’ll then be transferred to your hotel, conveniently located in the lively Thamel area which is known for its vibrant atmosphere, shops, and cafes.

After check-in, you’ll have the rest of the day to relax and recover from your journey. If you wish, take a casual walk around Thamel’s colorful markets, where you can explore local crafts and pick up any last-minute trekking gear. Its an easy day sets the tone for your upcoming Annapurna trek, which begins the following morning.

Day 02 Drive to Pokhara City. Transfer to your hotel on Phewa Lakeside. 7 hours.

From Kathmandu, you will travel to Pokhara City by comfortable tourist bus, following the scenic Prithvi Highway. The route winds through the picturesque Trishuli and Marshyangdi river valleys, offering glimpses of rural villages, terraced hills, and distant Himalayan peaks.

Upon arrival at the Pokhara Tourist Bus Park, a private transfer will be arranged to take you to your hotel near the tranquil Phewa Lakeside. The total journey covers approximately 210 kilometers and takes around 7 hours, providing a relaxing overland experience before your trek begins.

Day 03Taxi to Siwai, 2 hours. Trek to upper Ghandruk village and explore (1,940m/6,365 feet), 3 hours.

In the morning, you’ll take a scenic 2 hours taxi ride to Siwai village, the gateway to the Annapurna foothills. From there, begin your trek to Upper Ghandruk Village, a traditional Gurung settlement nestled in the heart of the Himalayas.

Its about 3 hours hike today that provides the super stunning views of Machhapuchhre (Fishtail) and the Annapurna South peaks, along with lush forests and stone paved trails. Once in Ghandruk, take time to explore the village’s rich culture, mountain lifestyle, and warm hospitality. Day 04Ghandruk to Chomrong village Trekking (2,170m/7,119 feet), 5 hours

Begins with a scenic trekking from Ghandruk to Chomrong Village is a key stop on the classic Annapurna Base Camp trail. It involves a mix of gentle ascents and descents, crossing suspension bridges and passing through lush forests and terraced fields. As you approach Chomrong, enjoy breathtaking views of Annapurna South and Hiunchuli, standing tall above the picturesque landscape.

After around 6 hours of trekking, you’ll arrive at this charming Gurung village, known for its panoramic mountain vistas and cozy teahouses. Chomrong serves as the perfect acclimatization stop before heading deeper into the Annapurna Sanctuary.

Day 05Chomrong to Jhinu Dada trek (1,565m/5,134 Feet), 2 hours

It features a short yet scenic trek from Chomrong to Jhinu Danda, taking about 2 hours along stone steps and forested trails. Upon reaching Jhinu lodges, you’ll have the opportunity to visit the area’s popular natural hot springs, located near the banks of the Modi Khola River.

A short downhill walk leads you to these soothing thermal pools that looks perfect for relaxing your muscles after several days of trekking. Day 06 Landruk to Dhampus Village Trek (1,650m/5,413 Feet), 6 hours

Its about 6 hours journey that provides a best panoramic views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountain ranges, along with peaceful forest paths. This is an unique walk that proceeds with the traditional hillside settlements.

Along the way, you’ll encounter rhododendron groves, stone stairs trails, and occasional glimpses of Fishtail Peak. Day 07 Drive to Pokhara and transfer to Phewa Lake side hotel (900m/2,943 Feet), 1 hour

Right after breakfast, you’ll drive with a scenic ride from Dhampus to Pokhara, taking approximately 1 hour along winding roads with Himalayan views. Upon arrival in Pokhara City, you’ll have the chance to explore some of its most iconic attractions.

Visit the stunning Devi’s Fall, the sacred Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave, and enjoy a peaceful boating experience on Phewa Lake with views of the Annapurna and Machhapuchhre peaks. Day 08Return to Kathmandu by Tourist Bus. Trip finish.

Upon arrival at the Kathmandu bus station, your guide will arrange a private transfer to your hotel in the Thamel area. This convenient service ensures a smooth and relaxing end to your trip.
