Ammar Raj Guni is the founder of Gokyo Treks & Expedition Pvt Ltd, and was born and raised in the picturesque Langtang region of Nepal. His career in tourism began in 1998 as a trekking porter, and through dedication, professional training at NATHM, and years of practical experience, he earned a licensed certified tour guide license.
Ammar founded Gokyo Treks and Expedition Pvt Ltd in 2005 with a vision of providing authentic, reliable, and high quality travel experiences in the Himalayas. Holding an MBS degree from Tribhuvan University, he combines academic knowledge with decades of practical experience to deliver safe, personalized, and memorable journeys throughout Nepal.
Having traveled extensively throughout Europe and Asia, Ammar has gained valuable insights into international tourism standards while building strong relationships with travelers and global partners. These experiences continue to inspire his commitment to exceptional customer service and responsible tourism.

Kamal Bahadur Khatri is an experienced trekking guides at Gokyo Treks & Expedition, bringing over two decades of expertise in Himalayan trekking and adventure tourism. Originally from Sindhupalchok District, he has been guiding trekkers since 2005.
Mr. Khatri is a certified trekking guide, professionally trained at NATHM, with additional qualifications in food and beverage services. Before joining this Gokyo Treks Agency, Kamal gained valuable experience as a professional cook in Lobuche on the Everest Base Camp trail, allowing him to provide exceptional hospitality alongside his guiding skills.

Ganesh Kulung is a passionate and also a government certified trekking guide at Gokyo Treks & Expedition, originally from the beautiful Mahakulung area of Solu Khumbu in the Everest region. Since joining our team in 2016, he has guided trekkers across some of the most iconic routes, including Everest Base Camp, Gokyo Lakes, Cho La Pass, Mera Peak, Annapurna Circuit, Manaslu, Langtang, and Tilicho Lake.
Alongside his professional guiding career, Ganesh is pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business Studies (BBS) at Tribhuvan University, reflecting his commitment to continuous learning and professional growth. With his depth mountain knowledge, friendly personality, and strong focus on safety, he ensures every guest enjoys an authentic, rewarding, and unforgettable Himalayan adventure.
Devi Bahadur Khatri

Devi Bahadur Khatri is also a licensed trekking guide of Gokyo Treks & Expedition, born and raised in the scenic Sindhupalchok District of Nepal. With more than seven years of professional guiding experience and formal training from NATHM (Nepal Academy of Tourism and Hotel Management), he has successfully led trekkers across some of the most famous routes, including Everest Base Camp, Manaslu Circuit, Tsum Valley, Annapurna Circuit, Upper Mustang, and Langtang Valley.
